We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and proactive Medical Office Receptionist to join our dedicated team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Patient Interactions:
??Greet and welcome patients and visitors, both in person and over the phone, maintaining a polite, consistent, and professional demeanor. Schedule and manage patient appointments, follow schedule guidelines, and facilitate patient flow by efficiently checking in and out patients. Respond to inquiries from patients, prospective patients, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, demonstrating excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

Financial Duties:
??Collect patient co-pays and balances, register new patients, update existing patient demographics, and gather accurate personal and financial information. Run daily insurance verification for upcoming patient appointments to ensure smooth billing processes. Call patients to collect on outstanding accounts receivable, demonstrating tact and professionalism.

Workspace Management:
??Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming, ensuring a positive patient experience. Handle clerical tasks such as answering and routing calls, handling billing inquiries, and following opening and closing procedures.

Medical Records Management:
??Pull, scan, and file medical records as requested, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards and maintaining patient confidentiality.

About You:
??Located in Waco, Tx (or within 30 miles of Waco).
??High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
??Minimum two years of related medical office experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
??Billing experience preferred.

Skills and Attributes:
??Medical Office Experience: 2 years (Required)
??Electronic Medical Records: 2 years (IMS ExperiencePreferred)
??Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
??Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
??Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
??Cultural sensitivity and demonstrated ability to work with diverse people groups.
??Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
??Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision and handle a variety of tasks.
??Understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA standards.
??Ability to explain insurance benefits, co-pays, deductibles, and how they relate to individual patient plans.

Languages:
??Native English speaking fluency required
??Conversational Spanish speaking skills are very nice to have

Compensation:
??We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, with a salary range of $17.50 - $19.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
