Compensation:
??Pay Rate: $75??80 per hour on W2
Location & Work Schedule:
??Remote Position: Candidates must be based within the United States.
??Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
??Core Hours: 8 AM ??5 PM CST, excluding state holidays when the agency is closed
About the Role
A government agency requires the services of a Senior Database Developer to support a large-scale project. This position involves advanced analysis and development work focused on optimizing database performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, particularly in performance tuning of stored procedures and views.
The developer will contribute to a structured software development life cycle (SDLC) process, using an Agile-based approach to implement code changes for defined releases. The role also involves collaboration with multiple stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of data solutions supporting school districts statewide.
Key Responsibilities: ??Develop and optimize Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code, including advanced techniques such as bulk collect and handling data in JSON/XML formats ??Write and refine complex Oracle queries while optimizing them to reduce resource usage (SGA, PGA, TempSpace) ??Store, query, and manipulate JSON data in Oracle database tables ??Create and optimize queries and views accessing JSON-based data ??Enhance the performance of stored procedures and views to improve database efficiency ??Develop documentation and perform unit testing ??Participate in Agile development processes
Required Skills & Experience:
7+Expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including bulk collect and JSON/XML data handling
7+Experience writing and optimizing complex Oracle queries to reduce resource usage
7+Strong documentation skills
7+Experience with development and unit testing
7+Agile development experience
4+Proficiency in working with JSON data in Oracle database tables
4+Ability to create complex queries and views using JSON data
4+Experience optimizing performance of stored procedures and views that interact with JSON data.

Pay Details: $75.00 to $80.00 per hour
