H2H aims to provide healthcare experienced veterans with the bridge to productive and meaningful careers while providing healthcare organizations high-quality talent.

WHAT IS THE ??EROES TO HEALTHCARE??VIP?
Thanks to the support of leading healthcare companies, the US Department of Labor and great veterans wanting to pay it forward, H2H launched as a Registered Apprenticeship Program approved by The US Department of Labor. This blended learning model provides employment, while participants progress through a well defined 16-24 Month learning program while also providing a significant economic advantage for veterans and employers.

Earn While You Learn: Participants will be expected to successfully complete a paid Apprenticeship Program consisting of on the job, in person and online accelerated training. Participants may be eligible for GI Bill? Monthly Housing Allowance.

Certification: Participants will be prepared for receiving certification by Nationally Recognized / Industry Leading credentialing organizations specific to the Apprenticeship the veteran is selected for. Current US DOL Registered Apprenticeships tracks are: Certified Healthcare Administrator - CPPM (E5+), Certified Pharmacy Technician - CPhT and Certified Medical Assistant - CCMA. Each track is designed to provide the desired entry point and development experience to grow into a meaningful career.

Fees: There is no cost to veterans

Compensation: Compensation is based on Apprenticeship role and region. Participants will be provided a competitive salary as well as qualify for GI Bill? Monthly Housing Allowance for the duration of the apprenticeship.

Job Description

Open positions exist in several occupations within the healthcare industry, with a focus on positioning healthcare experienced veteran for growth and equal level of responsibility as served in the military. Positions include but are not limited to: Medical Assistant, Administration, Practice Management, Consulting, Revenue Cycle Management, Physician Engagement, Project Management, Health Information Technology Support and Implementation, Chronic Care Management, Discharge Management as well as Laboratory, Radiology and Pharmacy positions.

Participants will be measured and progressed based upon successful completion of all required learning, assignments, attendance, exams, team projects and successful demonstration of required competencies on the job over the period of the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

All applicants must have served in the US Military for at least four years with a minimum of two years in a healthcare related occupation and was honorably discharged at enlisted level post 9-11. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience and/or project responsibility during their healthcare occupational experience
