KTRK is seeking an experienced investigative reporter to lead its investigative unit, working alongside a producer and photojournalist. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in open records, FOIA requests, media law, and social/digital production. Responsibilities include producing impactful investigative reports, leading the editorial direction of the investigative team, and occasionally contributing to breaking news and daily news coverage. A minimum of five years' experience in journalism or broadcast news is required. The ideal candidate will be a strong visual storyteller, comfortable holding powerful figures accountable and adept at working across multiple platforms.

The ideal candidate will have experience in open records, FOIA, media law, social and digital production. In addition to investigative pieces, this reporter will appear from time to time to assist in breaking news and daily news coverage.
